Oatmeal cookies are delightful, crispy, and full of flavor. They make a great snack or a perfect companion for coffee. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 20 cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rolled oats - 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).2. In a large bowl, mix the rolled oats, flour, sugars, baking powder, and salt.
3. Add the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
4. If using chocolate chips or nuts, fold them into the dough.
5. Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between the cookies.
6. Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
