Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir in the dried oregano. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
