Ingredients:
- 12 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until the sauce is well combined and heated through.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
6. Stir in the chopped basil and cook for an additional minute.
7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
