Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir well. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
5. Add chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it's well coated.
