Ingredients:
- 12 oz pasta (spaghetti or penne)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Parmesan cheese, for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and stir to combine. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, chopped basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the sauce.
6. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and extra basil if desired.
