A rich and flavorful pasta dish with a creamy tomato sauce and fresh basil. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 12 oz pasta (penne or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes and oregano, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir until the sauce is smooth and heated through.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
7. Stir in the fresh basil just before serving.
8. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
