Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute.
3. Add spinach to the pan and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Pour in the cream and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce. Add reserved pasta water as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
