Ingredients:
- 200g pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 200ml heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
