Ingredients:

- 300g pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 400g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown and soft, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine. Add the dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly in the creamy mushroom sauce.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
