Ingredients:
- 12 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly with the creamy mushroom sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
