Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat well with the sauce.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
9. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley.
