Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until the mushrooms are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated with the creamy sauce.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
