Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy mushroom sauce.
