Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and dried thyme. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the sauce.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
