Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti) - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are golden brown and tender.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and sprinkle in the dried thyme. Stir well and let it simmer for about 3 minutes.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste, then add the cooked pasta and toss to combine.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
