Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the mushrooms and garlic. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Season with salt and black pepper, then stir in the cooked pasta until well coated with the sauce.
6. Remove from heat and mix in the grated Parmesan cheese.
7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
