Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they begin to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy sauce.
7. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
