Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low, then pour in the heavy cream and stir well.
5. Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring until the sauce is creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
