Ingredients:
- 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti) - 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
