Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are soft and golden, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
