Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
