Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 16 oz (450 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender.
4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, mixing well until the pasta is evenly coated.
7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
