Recipe:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and browned, about 7-10 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until coated with the creamy mushroom sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
