Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy mushroom sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
