Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and browned.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
