Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
