Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat well with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
