Ingredients:

- 8 oz (225g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the fettuccine or spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
