Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and browned.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, and stir to combine. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
