Ingredients:

- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. Reduce the heat to low, and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
