Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir until combined. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
