Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Stir in the minced garlic and dried thyme, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine and coat the pasta in the creamy sauce.
7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
