Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti) - 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the mushrooms are tender.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
7. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
