Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti or fettuccine - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 3-4 minutes to thicken slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
