Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms and dried thyme to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender and lightly browned.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.
6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
