Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 5-7 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta with the sauce.
