Ingredients:
- 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced (such as cremini or button)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they are tender and browned.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
