Ingredients:

- 8 oz (225g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
4. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
