Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine or spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they soften and release their moisture, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
