Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or fettuccine
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
7. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the creamy mushroom sauce and mix until well coated.
8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
