Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden brown.
4. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
