Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Toss the cooked pasta in the creamy mushroom sauce until well coated.
7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
