Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine pasta - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and browned.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
