Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
