Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, mixing well. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the creamy sauce.
