Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and have released their moisture, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 3-4 minutes.
5. Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it evenly with the creamy sauce.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
