Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Reduce heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, allowing it to simmer gently for a few minutes.
5. Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the creamy mushroom sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
