Ingredients:
- 8 ounces of fettuccine or spaghetti - 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 8 ounces of mushrooms, sliced (button or cremini)
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and browned, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
