Ingredients:
- 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown, about 5 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the creamy mushroom sauce.
