- 8 oz (225g) pasta of your choice
- 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and dried thyme, cooking until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
